Week 4: July 1 – 6, 2025

I think I’ve landed on the right level of detail for these posts. I’m just going to note a highlight for each day and summarise them in this synopsis. Highlights this week include a decent distance of 173km, Canada Day and the Victoria Pride Parade.

Week 3: June 23 – 30, 2025

I’m moving to more of a weekly summary than daily details with this post. Eventually I’ll get it right. In fact, I missed journaling for a few days, so this post is pretty short.

Week 2: June 16 – 22, 2025

Still trying to find the right format and level of detail for these posts, so I’m going to try scaling back to just a bit more than bullet points, since these are really only for me, and not remotely interesting enough for anyone else.

Atomic Habits For for Brain Injury Recovery

I actually read Atomic Habits by James Clear when it first came out. I wrote a post about my first impressions back then, and it’s been on my re-read list ever since. I finally finished it again last week. I’ve rarely read a book that resonated so much with me, and which provided so much obvious, immediately usable advice. In particular, since my crash, the concept of developing better habits has been essential to my recovery.

Week 1: June 9 – 15, 2025

I’m not sure how long I’ll journal like this, but will try just doing a simple recap of the week, published each Monday. I do the daily entries by hand in a paper journal, as printing is still weaker than typing and a daily habit of even simple journaling is a good habit to keep.
